The Compass Rose with solstice markers was originally commissioned by Washington University in St. Louis. It is set in concrete in front of the Earth and Planetary Sciences building. The piece is usually set flush in to existing patios or tiled around. Based on your address I can calculate where the sun appears on the horizon during the solstice sun rise and sun set to let you know what declination to place the markers.
